Using CSS and HTML, I coded a website to serve as an initial online identity for showing my work to potential employers.
These sketches are each designed to represent a different aspect of an octopus, such as their eating habits, grip strength, the water and ink they can expel, their three hearts, and even their protective maternal behaviour.
We visited KImmeridge Bay to collect colour samples we could use in our branding, as well as to gain insights in to the environment and textures of Rock Pools.
I wanted to choose colours I felt would represent me best, so using a base of black and white, I added in some pinks and blues, as they are my favourite colours.
We envision using platforms like Instagram and TikTok, as these are likely the apps that our target audience of 15-year-old would use the most frequently.
To see how I could lay out my designs and assess how the colours would work together, I created a basic layout on Illustrator and experimented around with the colouring in my chosen palette.
